Disclaimer: I blame the content of this post, in part, on the combined influence of Cat and Kim. They are responsible in some way for encouraging the evil that has corrupted my mental system.

*~*~*

Crystal gazed intently at the clipboard that had been thrust upon her by the all powerful Goddess. Apparently the homicidals were still skipping out on their duty to murder sacrifice the inactive members of the realm known as Questionable Minds. For her part, Crystal didn't care much for tasteless violence, but orders were orders and the Goddess demanded action which meant that someone had to die. And to that end, Crystal had no intention of allowing that to be herself. It was a perfectly rational decision for a mortal being under the watchful gaze of a vengeful Goddess. Thus it was that she shifted her gaze to the two horribly evasive, neglectful bringers of death and destruction.

Jared and Shiva were bound in place by an unseen force brought upon them by the mighty hand of the Goddess. There would be no escape for the pair of them if she had her way. And why shouldn't she have her way? She's the Goddess after all. Crystal set the clipboard down on a randomly occurring table and approached the two with a look of devious delight that didn't suit her. Clearly she'd been spending far too much time with her altogether Omni-Evil younger sister who just happens to be the Goddess.

"You two really are the laziest ever since you became friendly rivals," she chose her words to strike at the heart of the problem. Ever since the two had stopped competing with each other things had gotten downright dreary in the realm of Questionable Minds. Death was intended to be vibrant and messy, not slow and quiet as it had been.

Alright, so Crystal hadn't been keeping her end of the bargain either. The Network hadn't been updated in months, but there have been sufficient reasons as to why the Arbiter of Time has been lacking in inspiration for her beloved brainchild. However, now that inspiration has returned to her, it seems the tides have finally turned for the two would-be bringers of death. As has already been stated, the look of devious delight did not suit her.

"And to think, I just finished inventing a new attack."

No wonder she seemed so pleased with herself. Cat was growing impatient awaiting the demonstration. Crystal felt that she had drawn it out long enough and calmly held out her hand with an open palm directed at Jared and Shiva in the typical position of preparation for an energy blast. The blast never came. Or at least, not in a format that could have been easily identified as such.

A group of particles caught in the sudden vortex imploded in on themselves, collapsing into an artificial blackhole. Spinning rapidly, the singularity advanced on the homicidals gradually accumulating particles along its equator in the form of a deadly sharp looking accretion disk. It became somewhat more energetic as it got closer to its designated targets. The effect of being hit by such an object would be something like being pummeled by a miniature quasar and then swallowed into the singularity such that one is suddenly reduced to their composite particles and then spit back out when the artificial blackhole suddenly evaporates by exploding.

Jared made an effort to move out of the way, but the sudden movement had the annoying consequence of accelerating him toward his doom. Similarly, Shiva hadn't felt inclined to move until Jared disappeared in front of him.

"Wait for me!" was all Shiva managed before he dove in after the other homicidal.

It was surprising to note that when the two of them emerged from the blackhole it was as though they had been molecularly bonded at the hip. Apparently they hadn't been quite able to sort out their respective particles before being restored to the outside world. A great deal of cackling emitted from the background and Crystal could only assume that the yaoi fangirls were having a field day.

"Um... well, I think I can fix this..." she started hesitantly. It was strange that neither of them seemed to have been injured by the whole experience, but then again even if Shiva looked amused by the situation, Jared certainly wasn't thrilled by these circumstances. She quickly generated a second, stationary blackhole. "You'll have to sort yourselves out inside."

Shiva shrugged. Jared grabbed him around the neck and dragged him inside. When next they emerged they were joined in such a way as is not appropriate to elaborate upon in a PG-13 forum. The Goddess was amused and renewed fits of giggling erupted from the background. Crystal could have sworn she heard two voices. She hurriedly shoved the two boys back into the blackhole hoping that the two of them would get sorted out correctly this time around. When they emerged this time, they seemed to have been restored to their rightful selves.

*~*~*

Crystal: I suppose what happened here was a side-effect of existing outside of physical reality in a realm that is highly open to the power of suggestion. Because Jared and Shiva were reduced to their composite particles it meant they could have been reconstructed as anything they wanted. Apparently Shiva has the stronger power of persuasion, but I have a feeling that Cat was somehow involved in the process. And I'll bet Kim helped.

Cat: It had to be done. It just -had- to.

Crystal: Could you at least pretend to be afraid of what Jared is going to do to us?

You being written into a post is hardly the same as you actually commenting and you bloody well know it. I don't care if I do have mentalities of both you and Shiva lurking inside of my brain--they don't count against the real thing.
